GB/T 28869.3-2023 Cores made of soft magnetic materials—Measuring methods—Part 3:Magnetic properties at high excitation level

Scope

This document specifies the measurement methods for the power consumption and amplitude permeability of closed-loop cores used in inductors, chokes, transformers, and other power-demanding electronic devices operating at high excitation levels.
The measurement methods presented in this document, such as calorimetry and reflection, can achieve a measurement frequency range of magnetic performance from direct current (d.c.) to 10 MHz, or even higher. For magnetic characteristic measurements in a given frequency range, the choice of measurement method depends on the accuracy required.
The measurement methods in this document are based on the typical sinusoidal excitation case and are also applicable to other periodic waveforms. However, only when the accuracy of the magnetic flux density and magnetic field strength waveforms is only slightly reduced within the corresponding frequency range, and the measurement circuits and instruments used can control the amplitude and phase, can sufficient accuracy be obtained.
