Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the manufacture and acceptance of floor-type lathes.
This standard applies to general-purpose floor-type lathes with a maximum workpiece turning diameter of 1,600 mm to 8,000 mm in the pit, and a maximum workpiece length between the spindle and the tailstock of 2,000 mm to 4,000 mm. It also applies to general-purpose floor-type lathes without a pit.
