Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the principles and technical requirements for the design of terrestrial wildlife corridors and habitat corridors.
This standard applies to the design of wildlife corridors for terrestrial wildlife in important habitats and migration and dispersal routes, when constructing or renovating existing buildings and structures such as railways, highways, pasture fences, and water channels; it also applies to the construction and restoration of habitat corridors between important terrestrial wildlife habitats, within nature reserves, and between nature reserves, as well as the design of habitat corridors to be constructed or reserved during activities such as forest harvesting and mineral extraction that alter the original habitat.
