Scope
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the type and size, thread tolerance, technical requirements, marking, and packaging of extrusion taps (high performance grade and ordinary grade).
This standard applies to extrusion taps for processing ordinary threads (GB/T 192, GB/T 193, GB/T 196, GB/T 197) with a nominal diameter of 1 mm to 27 mm on non-ferrous metal and low-strength ferrous metal parts. When processing threads with extrusion taps, the dimensions of the pre-made holes are referred to in Appendix B.
The thread tolerance zones of the taps in this standard are divided into H1, H2, H3, and H4. Among them, H4 is usually used for non-gear taps.
