Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking for prefabricated insulated ductile iron pipes, fittings, and accessories.
This document is applicable to prefabricated insulated ductile iron pipes, fittings, and accessories with a nominal diameter of DN40 to DN1600, which are prefabricated in factories using rigid polyurethane foam as the insulation material, and are designed for water with a transmission temperature not lower than 0℃ and a design temperature not higher than 130℃. They are used in the following applications:
—— For water supply, drainage, heating, cooling, and other pipeline projects;
—— For pressurized or non-pressurized transmission (with a design pressure not exceeding 2.5 MPa for heating purposes);
—— For underground (direct burial, pipe trench, integrated pipe gallery) or aboveground (overhead) installation.
