Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instrumentation, samples, tests, calculations, and test reports for determining the bending strength of ceramic interfaces at room temperature using the four-point bending method.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the bending strength of ceramic-ceramic and ceramic-metal interfaces. The determination of the bending strength of other material interfaces can also be used as a reference.
