GB/T 16491-2008 Electronic universal testing machines

Scope

This standard specifies the main parameters, technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of electronic universal testing machines that use mechanical force and electronic measurement technology to measure mechanical performance parameters. This standard applies to electronic universal testing machines (hereinafter referred to as testing machines) used for mechanical performance tests such as tensile, compression, bending, and shearing of metal and non-metal materials. This standard also applies to electronic tensile testing machines and electronic pressure testing machines.
