Scope

This guidance technical document specifies the technical principles, modeling and evaluation, and design requirements for the interconnection of power systems. This guidance technical document is applicable to the interconnection between power systems with voltages of 110 kV and above. Other voltage levels may be implemented as a reference. The main purpose of this guidance technical document is to provide technical guidance for the planning and design of interconnected power systems, improve system reliability and safety, and reduce the adverse effects of independent operation after system disconnection.
