Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, statistical scope, and calculation methods for the energy consumption (hereinafter referred to as "energy consumption") limits of finished products in arc furnace smelting units, as well as energy-saving management and measures.
This standard applies to the calculation and assessment of energy consumption in arc furnace smelting (excluding external refining) and the control of energy consumption in newly constructed equipment.
This standard does not apply to electric furnace production methods such as electric slag furnaces, plasma furnaces, and induction furnaces, nor to smelting for arc furnace trials.
