Scope

This standard specifies the principles, requirements, and methods for the qualification of safety-level protection relays and auxiliary devices in nuclear power plants, to ensure that these devices meet the requirements of GB/T 12727 during normal, abnormal, and design-basis accident conditions, as well as subsequent operating conditions. This standard applies to the qualification of safety-level protection relays and auxiliary devices installed outside the containment of nuclear power plants, and does not apply to protection relays and auxiliary devices installed inside the containment of nuclear power plants.
