Scope
This document describes the test method for determining the maturity of cotton fibers after they have been swollen in a sodium hydroxide solution using a microscope. This document is applicable to cotton fibers extracted from raw cotton, cotton rolls, cotton bales, and yarn that have not undergone chemical treatment.
