YY/T 1767-2021 Ultrasonics—Power measurement—High intensity therapeutic ultrasound (HITU) transducers and systems
Basic Information
Scope
This standard:
Establishes the radiation force balance method using acoustic targets to measure the HITU acoustic field;
Specifies the calorimetric method using the measurement of fluid thermal expansion to determine the total emitted acoustic power of ultrasonic transducers;
Specifies the requirements for describing the electrical power characteristics of ultrasonic transducers;
Provides guidance on preventing acoustic cavitation during measurement;
Provides guidance on measuring HITU transducers of different structures and geometries (including collimator, divergent, and convergent transducers, as well as multi-element transducers);
Provides guidance on selecting the most appropriate measurement method;
Provides information on evaluating the total measurement uncertainty.
This standard applies to the measurement of ultrasonic power generated by HITU equipment in the frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 5 MHz, with an upper limit of 500 W. The acoustic field can be convergent, collimator, or divergent.
This standard does not verify the case of frequencies below 500 kHz. Users are advised to evaluate the power measurement and measurement system uncertainty at this frequency.
This standard does not apply to ultrasonic equipment used for physiotherapy, lithotripsy, and routine pain relief.
