Scope

This document provides the general procedures and tolerances for the installation of conventional hydroelectric turbines and generators. There are various feasible methods for unit installation, and this document introduces a typical method. The size of the unit, the design of the unit, the layout of the plant, and the delivery schedule of equipment components may result in the addition, cancellation, and/or change of the assembly sequence of certain steps. Generally, this document is only binding if both parties to the contract agree. Upon the consensus of all parties, the unit installation of retrofit projects or small-scale hydropower projects shall be carried out in accordance with this document. This document is not applicable to purely commercial purposes, unless it is inextricably linked to the unit installation process. The tolerances specified in different standards may vary. The tolerances in this document are determined based on the most common practices and experiences. Whether this document stipulates that the manufacturer should provide documents, drawings, or information, each manufacturer shall provide the necessary relevant materials for the equipment they supply.
