Scope

This document provides the general installation procedures and tolerance requirements for vertical generators. There are many methods of installing generators, and this document introduces a general generator installation process. The dimensions of the unit components, the design of the unit, the layout of the power station, or the delivery time of the components may result in the addition of extra steps, the cancellation of certain steps, and/or changes in the installation sequence.
This document is only binding if both parties agree.
This document applies to vertical generators specified in IEC 60034-7.
This document is not applicable to purely commercial purposes, unless it is inextricably linked to the installation of the unit.
The tolerances specified in different standards may vary. The tolerances in this document are based on the most common practices and experiences.
This document does not include brushless excitation systems.
Regardless of whether this document stipulates that the manufacturer should provide documents, drawings, or information, each manufacturer shall provide the necessary relevant materials for the equipment they supply.
