Scope

In order to implement the principle of "prevention first" in the electrical engineering design of industrial enterprises, to reduce the damage and losses of electrical equipment caused by earthquakes, and to avoid casualties, this standard is formulated. This specification is applicable to the seismic design of electrical equipment in industrial enterprises with a basic seismic acceleration value less than or equal to 0.4g (that is, an earthquake resistance intensity of 9 degrees or lower), and a voltage of 220kV or lower. The seismic design of electrical equipment in industrial enterprises with a basic seismic acceleration value greater than 0.40g or those with special requirements in certain industries shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant national special regulations.
