Scope

This part of GB/T 8243 specifies the test method for determining the ability of full-flow engine oil filters to withstand internal pressure fluctuations generated during engine cold start and cyclical internal pressure changes during operation. This test method is applicable to spin-on filters with a maximum flow rate of not more than 100 L/min and replaceable filters with disposable filter elements. This test method can also be applied to other filters that the filter manufacturer and the buyer agree are suitable. Note: This test method cannot replace simulated environmental tests (e.g., at ultra-low temperatures). If such tests are required, they should be agreed upon by both the supplier and the buyer.
