Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and use of shielding clothing for live work, and provides a description of the clothing classification and testing methods.
This document applies to the design, production, testing, and use of shielding clothing worn by workers during live work on electrical equipment with voltage levels ranging from 110 (66) kV to 1,000 kV for alternating current, and ±50 kV to ±1,100 kV for direct current.
Note: Shielding clothing for live work includes shirts, trousers, gloves, socks, shoes, and face masks.
