GB/T 21227-2021 AC loss measurements—Magnetometer methods for hysteresis loss in superconducting multifilamentary composites
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the methods of using DC or low-sweep field-rate magnetometers to measure the hysteresis loss of Cu/Nb-Ti multi-filament composite materials. This document specifies a method for measuring hysteresis loss in Cu/Nb-Ti multi-filament composite conductors. The measurement is conducted on a circular-section superconducting wire at a temperature of 4.2 K or close to 4.2 K. DC or low-sweep field-rate magnetometers use superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUID) magnetometers (see Appendix A) or vibrating sample magnetometers (VSM). If differences are found in the results obtained with different (but all calibrated) magnetometers during the measurement, the VSM measurement results extrapolated to zero sweep field rate shall prevail. For details on extending this measurement method to general superconductors, please refer to Appendix B.
