This standard applies to the design of environmental protection projects for new, renovated, and expanded projects in the non-ferrous metals industry. This standard does not apply to the design of radiation pollution control projects for non-ferrous metal mining and utilization projects that involve associated natural uranium and thorium, and where the specific activity of a single nuclide in the ore, concentrate, and tailings exceeds 1 Bq/g.
