本文件规定了由电镀、自催化沉积或其他工艺所制备厚度不超过200 μm的金属覆盖层延展性的一般测量方法。
本文件适用于以下方法：
--用去除基体的覆盖层箔片进行试验（从基体上剥离的金属覆盖层）；
--在有基体的覆盖层上进行试验。
本文件不适用于某些涂层特定的标准方法。在某些情况下，特定的方法优先于本文件中所描述的方法，并由供需双方事先商定。
