GB/T 15821-2025 Metallic coatings—Methods of measurement of ductility

Scope

This document specifies a general measurement method for the ductility of metal coatings prepared by electroplating, self-catalytic deposition, or other processes, with a thickness not exceeding 200 μm.
This document is applicable to the following methods:
-- Conducting tests on coated foils with the substrate removed (metal coatings peeled off from the substrate);
-- Conducting tests on coated layers with the substrate present.
This document is not applicable to certain standard methods specific to coatings. In some cases, specific methods take precedence over those described in this document, and this shall be agreed upon in advance by both the supplier and the buyer.
