Scope

This standard specifies the test method for detecting the bonding strength of vacuum-deposited coatings by adhering them with adhesive tape, and stipulates the requirements and steps for testing tools and sample collection, as well as the evaluation and assessment of results. It is applicable to the bonding strength test between the coating and the plastic substrate.
This standard is suitable for metal and non-metal coatings prepared on plastic substrates such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and polycarbonate (PC) by vacuum deposition methods such as evaporation, sputtering, and ion plating within a pressure range of 10-4 Pa to 10 Pa. It is also applicable to coatings prepared by other vacuum deposition methods.
