Scope
This standard specifies the classification, models, general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of control assistive devices used by people with physical disabilities to drive cars. This standard applies to control assistive devices installed on passenger cars equipped with automatic transmissions, which are designed for people with physical disabilities (who have at least one upper limb that is fully functional among their two limbs) to drive cars.
