Scope

This document describes the bench test method for engine performance in automobiles, which is used to evaluate the performance of automobile engines. This document is applicable to gasoline and diesel engines used in M-class and N-class automobiles. The engines in question are reciprocating and rotary engines, excluding free-piston engines. Automobile engines powered by other fuels should be implemented in accordance with the guidelines provided herein.
