Scope

This standard specifies the performance requirements for high-pressure mercury lamps (with fluorescent coatings and transparent bulbs) used for lighting purposes. Some of the requirements specified in this standard are referenced in the "Parameter Table for Related Lamps". This standard provides parameter tables for some lamps. For other lamps that are not included in the standard but fall within its scope, the relevant parameters shall be provided by the lamp manufacturer or distributor. The requirements of this standard only apply to type testing.
