Scope

This standard specifies a general method for determining phosphate using the extraction-phosphomolybdate colorimetry method. This standard is applicable to the determination of trace orthophosphate in chemical reagents. The detection range of spectrophotometry or visual colorimetry in butyl acetate is 0.2 μg/mL to 2 μg/mL (calculated as PO4).
