Scope

In urban nightscape lighting design, in order to implement the national laws, regulations, and technical and economic policies, shape the urban nighttime image, enhance the charm of the city, enrich people's nightlife, and achieve technical advancement, economic rationality, energy conservation, environmental protection, safety in use, and convenient maintenance and management, this standard is formulated to implement green lighting. This standard applies to the nightscape lighting design of newly built, renovated, and expanded buildings, structures, special landscape elements, commercial pedestrian streets, squares, parks, advertisements, and signs in cities. In addition to complying with this standard, urban nightscape lighting design should also comply with the provisions of the relevant national standards currently in force.
