Scope

This part of GB/T 24442 specifies two methods for determining the compression performance of textiles, namely: Method A (constant pressure method); Method B (setting method). Unless otherwise specified, Method A shall be preferred. The measurement results of this part can be used to evaluate the compression recovery elasticity or relaxation characteristics of the samples, as well as their fullness, fluffiness, and softness. This part is applicable to all types of textile materials and textile products.
