Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the total B2O3 mass fraction in refractory materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of total B2O3 in refractory materials. Total B2O3 in other materials such as ceramics, glass, and glazes can also be determined in accordance with this standard. The applicable concentration ranges for different detection methods are shown in Table 1.
