Scope
1.1 The spectral range covered by this standard is 4,000 cm-1 to 50 cm-1, and it is suitable for qualitative analysis of liquid, solid, and gas samples using infrared spectroscopy technology. There are no restrictions on the amount of sample used for qualitative analysis. It can also be used for qualitative analysis in the near-infrared region with a spectral wavelength higher than 4,000 cm-1.
1.2 This standard does not address safety issues related to actual use. Before use, users should determine the limitations of this standard's application and are responsible for formulating appropriate safety and health regulations. Specific preventive measures are described in 5.5.1.
