Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, basic requirements, and additional requirements for protective shoes, as well as the marking and information provided by them. This standard applies to protective shoes that protect the wearer's feet and legs from hazards in the workplace. This standard does not apply to protective shoes that do not have insoles and inserts, or to those that have removable insoles but no fixed insoles.
