Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the α activity concentration of Pu in radioactive metal waste using the extraction-liquid scintillation measurement method with triisooctylamine (TiOA), including requirements for reagents, instruments and equipment, experimental procedures, data processing, and precision. This standard is applicable to the analysis and determination of the α activity concentration of Pu in radioactively contaminated carbon steel and stainless steel waste. The analysis and determination of the α activity concentration of Pu in other radioactive metal waste can be carried out with reference to this standard.
