Scope

This standard specifies the method of estimating the parameters of the Gamma distribution based on observed values.
This standard is applicable to the parameter estimation of Gamma distribution populations. For data obtained from measurements, tests, or surveys, if it can be reasonably concluded through theoretical analysis, empirical judgment, or statistical testing that it comes from a Gamma distribution population, then the point estimate and interval estimate of the Gamma distribution parameters can be determined according to this standard.
