Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for high-purity gallium, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and the content of purchase orders (or contracts), etc.
This standard applies to gallium with a purity of not less than 99.99% obtained from industrial gallium, which is refined by electrolysis, drawn into single crystals, or purified by other processes to a purity of not less than 99.9999%. The product is used for preparing compound semiconductor materials and high-purity alloys.
