Scope

This section specifies the reference equivalent threshold sound pressure levels (RETSPLs) for pure tones in the frequency range of 125 Hz to 8,000 Hz, which are suitable for calibrating air-conduction hearing aids equipped with a special model of over-ear headphones (SENNHEISER HDA 200). Note: The instructions and test conditions for obtaining the reference equivalent threshold sound pressure levels of the SENNHEISER HDA 200 over-ear headphones are provided in Appendix A and the references. Appendix B presents the sound attenuation of these over-ear headphones. Appendix C provides the free-field equivalent output correction values for Type AE and Type BE language audiometers (see GB/T 7341.2).
