Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, and transportation of port gantry cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes).
This standard applies to cranes used for loading and unloading bulk cargo, general cargo, containers, and complete sets of equipment in ports. Similar cranes used in shipyards and power stations can also be used as reference.
