Scope
This standard specifies the methods, instruments, analysis steps, and result presentation methods for measuring the purity of multi-walled carbon nanotubes. This standard provides a method for measuring the purity of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) samples using a combination of techniques such as charring, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and image analysis. The purity is expressed as the content (mass fraction) of multi-walled carbon nanotubes in the sample. This standard is not applicable to samples with poor uniformity or containing large amounts of carbon phase impurities.
