Scope
This standard can be used for the vertical joints between large wall panels that meet the following conditions:
a) The geometric shape of the panel edges makes the concrete poured into the joints a wedge-shaped key for transferring forces;
b) The reinforcing bars connecting the two wall panels should run through the entire panel height and be evenly distributed, and the vertical spacing of the reinforcing bars should be relatively small;
c) The concrete strength of the large panels should be at least equal to the concrete strength poured into the joints.
This standard applies to situations affected by tangential loads (shear forces along the joints).
