Scope

This standard specifies the ordering content, dimensions, appearance, weight, and allowable deviations of 9% Ni steel plates for cryogenic pressure vessels, as well as technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates, etc.
This standard applies to the manufacture of cryogenic pressure vessels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks and LNG ships using 9% Ni steel plates with a thickness not exceeding 50 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates").
