Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, principles, equipment, samples, test procedures, result calculation, and test reports for the thermal conductivity test method of refractory materials (using the water flow plate method). This document is applicable to the determination of the thermal conductivity of refractory materials with a hot surface temperature ranging from 200°C to 1300°C and a thermal conductivity of between 0.03 W/m·K and 2 W/m·K.
