Scope

This standard specifies the classification and schematic diagrams, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, product completeness, and technical documents accompanying the furnace for flame melting and flame heat-preservation of aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This standard applies to flame melting furnaces and heat-preservation furnaces (hereinafter referred to as flame furnaces) for aluminum and aluminum alloys that use gas or liquid as fuel.
This standard does not apply to flame crucible furnaces and vertical melting furnaces.
