Scope
This standard specifies the design criteria for the discharge of residual propellant from the last stage of a launch vehicle during flight, the selection of discharge methods, and other general design requirements, detailed design requirements, and effect evaluations. This standard applies to the design of discharging residual propellant from the last stage of launch vehicles using room-temperature liquid propellants and cryogenic liquid propellants. The design related to the discharge of residual propellant from the upper stage of launch vehicles and other parts can be implemented with reference to this standard.
