Scope
This standard specifies the minimum communication requirements for water meters that can exchange or provide data through an electronic interface.
This standard only stipulates the interface conditions of the electrical and electronic connection devices of water meters, and does not stipulate the requirements for dedicated equipment such as transponders and sensing units that can be connected to water meters for automatic meter reading or remote meter reading.
