GB 17799.3-2012 Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)—Generic standards—Emission standard for residential, commercial and light-industrial environments
Basic Information
Scope
The emission requirements specified in this part of GB 17799 apply to electrical and electronic equipment used in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
The frequency range applicable to this part is 0 Hz to 400 GHz. There is no need to measure in frequency bands not specified by the standard.
If there are no relevant product or product category electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) emission standards, the general EMC emission standards of this part apply.
This part applies to equipment directly connected to low-voltage public power grids or equipment connected to low-voltage public power grids via dedicated DC power supplies. This part also applies to battery-powered equipment or equipment powered by non-public, non-industrial low-voltage power distribution systems used in the following scenarios:
This part includes indoor and outdoor environments in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. The following venues (though not exhaustive) provide some descriptions of the environment, including:
Residential settings, such as residences and apartments;
Retail outlets, such as stores and supermarkets;
Commercial buildings, such as offices and banks;
Public entertainment areas, such as cinemas, public bars, and dance halls;
Outdoor venues, such as gas stations, parking lots, amusement parks, and sports centers.
Light industrial settings, such as workshops, laboratories, and maintenance centers.
All locations directly supplied with low-voltage power from public power grids belong to residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
The purpose of this part is to specify the emission test requirements for continuous and transient, conducted and radiated disturbances of the equipment described in the applicable scope.
The emission requirements specified in this part ensure that the disturbance levels generated by equipment operating normally in residential
