Scope

This standard specifies the measurement method and marking for the emission noise of vacuum pumps, stipulates the installation, load, and operating conditions during the measurement, and prescribes the following two methods of representing the emission noise measurement: — Specifying the sound power level under load conditions; — Specifying the sound pressure level emitted at the operating position under load conditions. This standard applies to the noise measurement of mechanical vacuum pumps (hereinafter referred to as pumps).
