Scope

This standard specifies the classification, designation, dimensions, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates of seamless steel pipes made of carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel for ships (hereinafter referred to as steel pipes).
This standard applies to the manufacture of Class I pressure piping systems, Class II pressure piping systems, boilers, and superheaters made of carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel seamless steel pipes for ships.
