Scope
This document specifies the use of the spectrophotometric method based on the reaction of dihydrazide with diacetone acetate and the flame atomic absorption spectrometry method to determine the copper content. This document is applicable to the determination of copper content in manganese-iron alloys, manganese-silicon alloys, and metallic manganese. The measurement range (mass fraction) of Method I is 0.0050% to 0.25%, and the measurement range (mass fraction) of Method II is 0.0050% to 0.25%.
