This part of GB/T 16840 specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instrumentation, sample preparation, observation sites, and criteria for scanning electron microscopy (SEM) microscopic morphological analysis in the technical appraisal of electrical fire trace evidence.
This part is applicable to the application of SEM in fire investigation for the microscopic morphological analysis of metal melting traces at the fire scene, and to identify the melting nature of the melting traces based on the microscopic morphological characteristics of the melting traces.
