Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for rubber and plastic sealing strips used in passenger cars (hereinafter referred to as sealing strips). This standard applies to sealing strips used in passenger cars, which are primarily made of rubber, plastic, or rubber-plastic blends. Sealing strips used in commercial vehicles may be adopted for reference.
