Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for general-purpose fabric-core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic cover layers used on flat or grooved rollers. This standard applies to general-purpose fabric-core conveyor belts with rubber or plastic cover layers. This standard does not apply to light conveyor belts specified in ISO 211831. The provisions in Appendix A are not part of this standard, but manufacturers and purchasers need to reach an agreement on their content. Appendix B provides detailed information that purchasers need to provide when purchasing belts.
