Scope

This standard specifies the classification and naming of adhesive-bonded light vehicle brake shoe assemblies (hereinafter referred to as brake shoes), requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, user manuals, and packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to adhesive-bonded light vehicle brake shoe assemblies, which are made by adhering the friction linings of brake shoes to the steel shoe reinforcement plates of brake shoes. They are mainly used in brake shoes for light vehicles, mini-cars, or passenger cars with a total mass of no more than 3.5 tons.
